The Matragos Fruit S.A company, exporter of oranges, mandarins, lemons and other fruits of the Argoliko soil, is based in Koutsopodi, Argolida, which you will find on the fifth kilometer of the Argos - Sternas Peloponnese Highway.

Fruit Packaging, Marketing & Exporting, Matragos Fruit SA, GreeceIts facilities are state of the art and occupy an approximate area of 5000 square meters on a plot of 50 acres. The building infrastructure of Matragos Fruit S.A is one of the best in Greece and its production lines have the latest technologically advanced equipment and control systems that ensure the outstanding quality of the fruit throughout all stages of production.

The factory uses modern packaging lines for citrus fruits and other fruit as well, it has an experienced and highly skilled workforce and scientific-administrative personnel, and it strictly upholds all the hygiene and food safety requirements in place.

 

Equipment

The citrus fruit export company Matragos Fruit S.A has ultramodern equipment:

  • A new production line.
  • Production capability of 200 daily tons.
  • Air conditioning throughout the factory.
  • Refrigerated chambers under controlled temperature for the degreening of fruit.
  • Fruit conservation chambers.
  • Freezer chambers for fruit as low as -50°C.

 

Production Line

Our citrus fruit arrive directly to our factory premises, still fresh, right after the harvest. The fruit is transported in crates, and after being washed, it is sorted to remove any fruit that is blemished. Next, the fruit is waxed and sorted again. The electronic classifier separates the fruit according to their size.

The method of packaging, either by hand or automatically, is then chosen by highly skilled production personnel and the transfer is made in special chambers for temperature stability or refrigeration to ensure optimal storage conditions and high-quality characteristics of the fruit. These steps are carefully taken so as to avoid even the slightest "alteration" of the fruit throughout the whole process right up to their delivery at the site chosen by the customer and, of course, to guarantee that the fruit reaches the final consumer in the most wholesome form.
